Sayyid Al-Hakeem Lauds Iraqi Components’ Sacrifices to Fight Dictatorship Regime
During His Eminence’s meeting with the delegation representing those with red cards—a group that faced oppression and injustice under the former regime for rejecting its wars and reckless policies—Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers’ Alliance, called for the documentation of these crimes and for educating future generations about the experiences of this group and other segments of society. H.E. stressed the importance of media outlets and civil society organizations taking on this essential responsibility.
H.E. also illustrated the changes in Iraq’s current situation, noting that the people who were once forced into wars against their will now enjoy a significant degree of freedom of opinion and expression. H.E. commended the sacrifices of Iraqis from all backgrounds in their struggle against the dictatorial regime, their efforts in building a new Iraqi experience, and their ongoing fight against terrorism in all its forms, ideologies, and manifestations.
