At Sheikh Hadi Al-Barzanji’s guesthouse, Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers Alliance, met with a group of sheikhs and dignitaries. His Eminence recalled the long-standing bond with this honorable tribe, describing it as a relationship rooted in the ties of forefathers, which will be passed on to future generations. “We are united by our homeland and by Islam,” H.E. said.
H.E. reiterated his affection and connection with the people of Kurdistan, emphasizing that the Iraqi nation encompasses Iraq’s diverse peoples, communities, religions, and sects. Sayyid Al-Hakeem pointed to the high voter turnout in the Kurdistan parliamentary elections as a clear expression of popular will and as evidence of the people’s dedication and awareness in Kurdistan, expressing his hope that the representatives chosen will be up to the task of their responsibilities.
H.E. reaffirmed the importance of adhering to the constitution and laws to resolve outstanding issues between the federal government and the Kurdistan Regional Government. Extending his solidarity once again to the Palestinian and Lebanese people, H.E. urged assisting within available means.
