    Al-Hakeem Meets U.S. Embassy Chargé d’Affaires to Baghdad

    Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, head of the National State Powers Alliance, met with Daniel Rubinstein, Chargé d’Affaires of the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad, to discuss the political developments in Iraq and the region. H.E. highlighted Iraq's significant progress over the past two decades in strengthening democracy and achieving security, political, and social stability, paving the way for steady advancement.
    H.E. noted that Iraq has faced substantial challenges and risks but has successfully overcome them. H.E. emphasized the need to prioritize national interests above all else and stressed the importance of enacting fair and just legislation that directly benefits citizens and positively impacts their daily lives.
    H.E. stressed the importance of supporting Iraq's economy, transitioning away from a rentier state model, activating productive sectors, thus contributing to building a solid and sustainable economic foundation.
    During the meeting, H.E. stressed the importance of safeguarding Iraq's sovereignty and independent decision-making. H.E. also reaffirmed the value of diversifying bilateral relations with the United States, particularly in the cultural, educational, and economic domains in what serves the interest of the countries and strengthening the bilateral ties.
