    Sayyid Al-Hakeem Receives Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein, Describes Elections as Opportunity for Sustainable Stability, Highlights Diplomacy’s Role in Reflecting Iraq’s Positive Image

    Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers Alliance, received on Monday evening, October 6, 2025, at his office in Baghdad, H.E. Dr. Fuad Hussein, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs. 
    The meeting included an exchange of views on the latest political developments in Iraq and the region, upcoming national entitlements, and the role of Iraqi diplomacy in strengthening stability and promoting Iraq’s positive image abroad. 
    His Eminence praised Iraq’s prudent approach in dealing with regional crises without direct involvement, noting that Iraq’s supportive stance toward the peoples of the region has been more advanced than that of many Islamic and Arab countries. H.E. described this as a genuine reflection of Iraq’s internal cohesion in addressing such issues. 
    H.E. further explained that the forthcoming elections represent a historic opportunity to achieve sustainable stability, calling for continued dialogue and coordination among political forces to maintain the current stability. H.E. also commended the recent oil agreement between the federal government and the Kurdistan Regional Government, viewing it as a constructive step toward strengthening national harmony.
