Sayyid Al-Hakeem Meets Sheikh Ali Bapir, Describes Elections as Historic Milestone, Stresses National Unity to Address Service Challenges

As part of his visit to the Kurdistan Region, Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers Alliance, met on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, with Sheikh Ali Bapir, Head of the Kurdistan Justice Group. The meeting covered developments in Iraq’s and the region’s political landscape, relations among political forces across various arenas, and upcoming national entitlements.
His Eminence underscored the importance of dialogue and continued communication among political forces to resolve outstanding issues, reiterating that the upcoming elections represent a historic milestone in Iraq’s democratic and political journey.
H.E. called for confronting challenges with stronger national unity, noting that the next phase’s primary challenge is service delivery—one that must be addressed to reinforce and sustain stability.
H.E. also emphasized Iraq’s need to engage with regional issues without direct involvement, renewing the call for a unified Islamic stance toward shared concerns.
