    Sayyid Al-Hakeem Meets Bafel Talabani: Honors Mam Jalal’s Legacy, Affirms Unity: Elections Chance for Lasting Stability

    Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers’ Alliance, met on Tuesday evening, October 7, 2025, with Mr. Bafel Talabani, President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan. His Eminence paid tribute to the late Mam Jalal (may Allah bless his soul), emphasizing the importance of upholding his legacy of unity and fostering understanding among all Iraqis. H.E. also recalled the long-standing relationship between the Al-Hakeem family and the Kurdish community, dating back to the time of the late Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Muhsin Al-Hakeem (may Allah sanctify his soul), through the eras of Shaheed Al-Mihrab and Aziz Al-Iraq.
    H.E. affirmed that Iraq is currently witnessing an unprecedented level of stability across various fronts, urging all parties to shoulder their responsibility in preserving this valuable achievement. H.E. further stressed the need to sustain dialogue to resolve pending issues among political actors. Both sides shared a unified vision regarding the significance of the upcoming elections, underlining their decisive role in shaping the next stage and highlighting that Iraq stands before a historic opportunity to achieve lasting stability if its people make the right choices at the ballot box.
