    Sayyid Al-Hakeem Meets Masrour Barzani, Says Comprehensive Stability Iraq’s Security Foundation, Oil Agreement a Step Toward Broader Understandings

    Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of Al-Hikma National Movement and Leader of the National State Powers Alliance, met on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, with Mr. Masrour Barzani, Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government. The meeting discussed ways to consolidate the current state of stability in Iraq and sustain coordination between political powers as well as between the federal government and the Kurdistan Regional Government. 
    His Eminence emphasized the importance of safeguarding and transforming the existing stability into lasting stability, noting that Iraq’s stability depends on the stability of all its internal components and regions. 
    H.E. called for greater openness toward Iraq’s regional and international environment based on the principles of sovereignty, mutual respect, and shared interests. H.E. also welcomed the recent oil agreement between the federal and regional governments, expressing hope that it would serve as a solid foundation for broader understandings that contribute to resolving outstanding issues. 
    Furthermore, H.E. underscored the importance of the upcoming elections, calling for support of Iraq’s democratic system and the freedom of voters to choose their representatives, while reiterating the call for broad, active, and conscious participation in the electoral process.
