Sayyid Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers Alliance, received Muthana Al-Samarraie, head of Al-Azm Alliance, where they discussed recent political developments, the outcome of the elections, and the responsibilities awaiting political blocs in the coming stage.
The two sides exchanged congratulations on the successful elections and the high voter turnout, affirming that increased participation in the provinces liberated from ISIS is a clear indication of the citizens’ commitment to the democratic path, political representation, and the protection of the rights of provinces and components.
His Eminence said: “The Iraqi people have spoken, and political powers must honor their electoral pledges to meet the expectations of the Iraqi citizens”.
H.E. underscored the need to convert electoral pledges into realistic action plans and stressed the importance of bridging political differences, moving beyond pre-election tensions, and reaffirming his longstanding view “all sides need one another” to navigate the next phase successfully and form a government capable of meeting its priorities.
H.E. renewed his appreciation for the efforts of the Electoral Commission, security forces, media outlets, and monitoring networks, noting that the elections constitute a national accomplishment for the Iraqi people and calling for the protection of this achievement and the advancement toward sustainable stability.
