Sayyid Al-Hakeem Lauds Candidates, Stresses Professionalism, Commitment, Audience Support
His Eminence Sayyid Al-Hakeem, Head of National State Powers Alliance, met today with the Alliance’s partners from the 2025 parliamentary candidates. His Eminence expressed appreciation for their dedication and the substantial effort they invested throughout the campaign.
During the meeting, Sayyid Al-Hakeem noted that Iraq’s political arena features “different types of powers,” explaining that some prioritize short-term gains without bearing responsibility, whereas National State Powers Alliance stood out for presenting clear, structured, and professionally developed programs and plans.
H.E. highlighted that the recent parliamentary elections were among the most transparent and distinguished, earning notable recognition from the international community and relevant organizations, despite certain technical remarks surrounding the process. H.E. added that the seat-allocation formula led to victories for some candidates and losses for others despite close competition, emphasizing that “every candidate succeeded, some by securing a seat, and others by enabling their colleagues to win.”
Sayyid Al-Hakeem encouraged everyone to accept the final results with composure, even if they “do not fully reflect the scale of the hard work invested.” H.E. reiterated that the alliance had consistently advocated for broad, active, and conscious participation, believing it to be in the interest of the political system and the country overall.
H.E. also stressed the importance of maintaining ongoing communication with the public and learning from experience, urging that rights be pursued through legal avenues. H.E. affirmed that elected members remain committed to supporting the coalition’s constituents as well as all other citizens.
Sayyid Al-Hakeem concluded by underscoring the need to remain committed to the vision and approach laid out during the campaign, describing it as an essential foundation for political action in the period ahead.
