    Sayyid Al-Hakeem Lauds Interior Ministry’s Effort to Secure Elections, Support Automation, Enable Police to Secure Cities

    His Eminence Sayyid Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers Alliance, met this evening with H.E. the Minister of Interior, Lieutenant General Abdul Amir Al-Shammari. His Eminence praised the security efforts that ensured the smooth and secure conduct of the recent parliamentary elections, highlighting the significant role played by the security units and the intelligence support behind them.
    H.E. noted that the Ministry of Interior accompanies the citizen from the moment of birth to the end of life, which makes its institutions among the most closely connected with both citizens and other state bodies. H.E. encouraged continuing the path of automation and governance so that public services eventually allow citizens to complete their paperwork through mobile phones or computers, in line with global standards.
    H.E. underscored the need for Interior Ministry units to take full responsibility for security management inside cities, enabling the military forces to focus on border protection and their core duties. H.E. also emphasized reinforcing armament and sustaining training and capacity-building for ministry personnel.
