    Sayyid Al-Hakeem: Religious Diversity Represents Iraq’s Power, National Responsibility to Protect Christians Rights

    Sayyid Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers Alliance, received a delegation from the Evangelical Union Churches in the MENA Region, led by Pastor Sami Dagher. 
    The meeting discussed the situation of the Christian community in Iraq and the region, and ways to strengthen coexistence and diversity. 
    His Eminence affirmed that Christians are an integral part of Iraq’s national identity and that safeguarding their presence and rights is a national duty. H.E. stressed that diversity is one of Iraq’s strengths and that the next phase requires reinforcing stability and deepening social cohesion.
